Maths Week 2017.
All classes are busy this week doing Maths activities. Here is a sample of some of the Maths activities we are doing!
The Junior Infant class are having a ‘Shape Trail’. They are also playing number games. They like the game ‘Picking Apples’.
Senior Infants and 1st class are busy with art activities and Number Nursery Rhymes. They are having a number trail outside.
Ms. Glancy’s class are doing a Maths trail and are using 2D shapes in an art activity.
The boys and girls in 2nd and 3rd class are having Mental Maths games; 2-D shapes art activity, a maths trail and a Mathematician of the Day/Week!
Mr. Mc Kiernan’s class are doing mathsweek.ie target board competition, Multiplympics, Maths quizzes and ‘Use your Maths Eyes’ competition.
The pupils in 5th class are busy doing activities from Mathsweek.ie They are having a Lines and Angles art activity. Mrs. Heslin’s class are also playing loop card games and are having a Maths trail.
6th class are having Maths quizzes including ‘Who wants to be a Millionaire?’ They are having a Maths trail!
